Do not rule the 650 out because of it, you do not have to use this feature, but if you do, just be aware of the conditions of use. The pro2 2000 range is better, much smoother with the same cross action brush and if you can get it on a deal, def the one to go for and recommmeded as a minimum standard by my hygienist. Now though at least the 5 of us actually look forward to brushing, which was the idea. These good for kids 3+ to adult, and replacement heads cheap on the Bay. Teeth feel and are visibly shiny. Does take 22 hours to charge from flat battery, but it does tell you when battery low so that's fair enough.
